Roy Jafari is a curious soul working at the intersection of product, data, and machine learning. With a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University, he focuses on building systems that turn data into decisions—especially in environments where real-world constraints and trade-offs actually matter.

He’s worn many hats across product, data, and engineering, and enjoys working on problems that don’t come neatly defined. Much of his thinking revolves around how to frame problems correctly before solving them, and how to balance factors like accuracy, latency, and complexity in practice.

He also writes about these ideas, exploring how data systems can be designed to avoid costly mistakes and withstand real-world use.

But beyond his professional pursuits, Roy has recently fallen head over heels for improvisation, finding joy in the spontaneity it brings. You’ll often find him diving into deep, intense conversations, exploring life's unexpected twists and turns.
